About The Position

We are hiring an Electrician for our printing plant team in Eagan, Minnesota. You will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical support of electrical controls and mechanical systems for manufacturing machinery. For this role, you would also be eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus upon being in the role for 90 days. In this opportunity as an Electrician, your responsibilities will be to maintain, replace, repair, test or adjust electrical system components of a variety of electrical equipment and devices, within individual and site license scope. You will work with and support Maintenance Technicians in the repair, adjustment, or calibration of mechanical systems and their control apparatus. You will partner with other team members, engineers, contractors, etc., on the installation and maintenance of new equipment, plant layout revisions, and plant-wide continuous improvement projects. You will perform and support diagnostics and issue resolution of individual and network device I/Os, PLCs, and associated hardware and software interfaces. You will develop and verify electrical documentation for equipment, wiring diagrams, procedures and related data. You will follow all safety rules and use of safety equipment to comply with state and federal regulations, report all safety and environmental hazards and attend safety and environmental training programs. You will complete required annual continuing education commensurate with electrical license and complete repairs in a timely manner and follow-up with customers to ensure work was complete and effective.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering plus some relevant work experience in an industrial setting OR vocational degree in an electrical or electro-mechanical discipline plus a moderate amount of relevant work experience OR significant relevant work experience performing industrial electrical controls troubleshooting and maintenance with minimum of a High School Diploma.
  • Maintenance or Journeyman Electrician License would be a plus.
  • PLC, network I/O and communication knowledge fundamentals strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in an industrial setting in a maintenance capacity with a wide range of production machinery is strongly desired.
  • Skilled in maintenance and repair of industrial controls systems and in the use of common electrical test instruments.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical safety and safe work practices.

Responsibilities
