About The Position

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity with a rapidly growing pharmaceutical manufacturer? If so, then this is the opportunity for you! The Electrician will install, operate, maintain, alter, troubleshoot and repair electrical power and lighting distribution systems along with a wide variety of industrial electrical equipment. Demonstrate ownership of equipment systems serviced and pride in quality work. The Electrician must be able to work independently and be able to work with equipment owners to troubleshoot and address electrical systems issues after normal working hours. The electrician will receive basic task direction from the day supervisor, and off-hours supervisory support from the HVAC operations supervisor and/or the LST operations supervisor. Shift Hours: 1st Shift 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM 2nd Shift 3:45 PM - 11:45 PM Work Area: Site Wide/All Work Areas.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Vocation or technical school certification.
• 3 - 5 years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in electrical installation and repair in an industrial environment.
• Must have adequate skills to perform required job functions with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Completed courses in Electrical Theory and Practice.
• Familiarity with the local National Electric Code.
• Understand wiring diagrams, schematics and CAD drawings/Blueprints.
• Have knowledge of the various types of electrical motors and controls.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, maintain or alter electrical services, equipment and controls, using approved and properly sized wire, conduit, raceways and equipment.
• Work with high and low voltage systems, including transformers, high voltage primary feed and secondary transformers.
• Work with facilities and research electrical systems including VFDs, UPSs/lighting inverters, ATSs and emergency generators, lighting systems, gas detection systems, motors, etc.
• Work from CAD drawings, prints, schematics, sketches or verbal instructions.
• Install static grounding circuits.
• Operate efficiently, all hand/power tools, test instruments and equipment normally used by this trade and maintain/return in good condition.
• Demonstrate ownership of workplace safety/site safety culture by adhering to all safety rules/regulations and reporting to supervisor any equipment in need of repair or any unsafe situations or conditions.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a safe, efficient and clean operating condition.
• Assist in performing other duties, including work of other trades as required.
