About The Position

This position will be responsible for testing and/or modifying electrical equipment post-production, prior to shipment to customers. It will also be responsible for inspecting product functions and monitoring test procedures. Perform system tests, including IR and dielectric testing, and complete written test reports, logs and records Troubleshoot electrical problems in complex systems Troubleshoot AC/DC circuitry and printed circuit assemblies to the component level Assemble, set-up programs and perform functional tests on circuit boards Organize work by receiving work requests; studying wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications testing systems and electrical components; determining cause of problems and requirements to solve problems Use test equipment including digital meter, current meter, out of phase transformer, variac transformer resistive load bank, hi-pot tester, current clamp, computer, and infrared camera Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations and codes

Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution
  • Must have a minimum of one year of experience in electrical test or related electronic technologies field, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of work location will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in electronics or electrical engineering technology
  • Prior training with electrical equipment and testing procedures
  • Read and understand one-line drawings, wire lists, and schematics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Understanding of delta-wye 3 phase transformer and resistive load bank technology
  • Individual may be required to sit, stand and walk regularly
  • Individual must be able to lift up to 50 pounds throughout work shift
  • Individual may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, push and/or pull.
