Engineers at iRhythm work passionately to deliver innovative solutions that improve the quality of healthcare and the patient experience. In this role you will contribute directly to near and long-term commercialization efforts for our next-generation wearable bio-sensors, collaborating alongside a small team of multi-disciplinary engineers experienced in bringing medical devices to market. You will gain exposure to the testing approach required to release Class 2 compliant hardware in the medical device industry. Your tasks will be to test, analyze, design, evaluate and debug circuits to support exciting additions to our product line. This is a fantastic opportunity to get hands on experience with a cutting-edge product within the medical device space. This is a hybrid position for our San Francisco, California office. You will gain exposure to the testing approach required to release Class 2 compliant hardware in the medical device industry. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or related field).
  • 1-3 years of industry experience in developing test systems.
  • Excellent EE fundamentals.
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits.
  • Hands-on lab experience including soldering, data acquisition, lab test equipment: multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up, debugging and functional verification.
  • Familiarity with schematic and layout tools (Altium a bonus) as well as circuit analysis and simulation tools (SPICE).
  • Detail-oriented with excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with a scripting language for analyzing and plotting data (Python a plus).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with schematic and layout tools (Altium a bonus)

Responsibilities

  • Automating test equipment.
  • Write test plans and reports for FDA submissions.
  • Create schematics and design PCBs to assist in testing of company products.
  • Lab bring-up of products and test tools.
  • Cross-functional collaboration within EE team and greater Product Development (MechE, F/W, System engineering).
