About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented electrical test engineer to support various efforts within our engineering development and product manufacturing team. The candidate must have a proven record of technical aptitude, exceptional electrical troubleshooting abilities, and efficiency in assembling products while maintaining quality and timeliness in all aspects of delivery and documentation upkeep. Also, experience and skills in creative problem solving and effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team are essential. This includes providing innovative solutions, brainstorming with team members, and utilizing 3D modeling, 3D printing technology for prototyping and testing purposes. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering Experience: Minimum 3 years in electrical test engineering or related Technical skills: Experience in electrical engineering principles (voltage, current, resistance), cable/wiring anatomy, and circuit board hardware/software functionality. Experience with assembly of mechanical hardware and subassemblies. Desire to build and test devices ranging from small quantities to larger batches. Hands-on problem-solving skills to independently troubleshoot problems and find possible root causes related to test equipment, unit under test, and test procedures. Ability to trace and correct faults down to the component level. Technical reading/writing competency. Preferred: Knowledge in software development, electronic integration, and data communication.

Responsibilities

  • Supports operations, functionality, and production efforts including build/assembly, test, evaluation, failure investigation, troubleshooting, repairs, and reporting.
  • Assists engineering and production activities to ensure products/systems meet test parameters, operational requirements, and development deadlines.
  • Diagnose/resolves failures and assist with modifications to parts and subassemblies as needed.
  • Contributes to creating, reviewing, and updating electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Analyzes test data, identifying, isolating, and resolving performance problems.
  • Supports corrective/preventive action processes and equipment preservation.
  • Delivers product documentation, test reports, and failure investigation records.
  • Supports laboratory or field-testing activities and assist with streamlining test procedures.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Ensures build and testing methodology is compliant with company, military, and industry standards.
  • May aid in design verification testing of hardware and software against requirements.
