About The Position

The Electrical Test Engineer will be responsible for creating test setups, conducting power module testing, and performing root cause analysis on power electronic components and systems. This role involves designing and testing electrical systems, compiling technical data, and ensuring product quality through various electrical testing methods. The engineer will also drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean and six sigma methodologies, while maintaining equipment and product databases.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Engineering Science or Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or Controls Engineering with 6 months experience involving test equipment and electrical diagrams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Science or Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or Controls Engineering with 3 years experience involving test equipment and electrical diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Create test setups including instrumentation and assemblies.
  • Conduct power module (IGBT + diode) testing.
  • Perform root cause analysis of power electronic components and systems.
  • Make electrical wiring changes and create test fixtures.
  • Compile and organize technical data and prepare project reports.
  • Design and test electrical systems and components.
  • Evaluate systems and applications based on customer requirements and research.
  • Develop electrical products and modify manufacturing equipment.
  • Improve manufacturing processes and assure product quality through electrical testing methods.
  • Drive continuous improvement using lean and six sigma methodologies.
  • Evaluate and recommend repairs or replacements for production equipment and tooling.
  • Maintain equipment by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures.
  • Maintain product database and write computer programs.
