About The Position

The position involves the complete physical validation of software and hardware functionality at major program milestones. The candidate will drive pre-test readiness, troubleshoot Design Verification (DV) issues, and provide requirement assessment documentation. Responsibilities include coordinating the electrical breadboard build, managing part delivery timing, and creating electrical systems test plans according to vehicle feature content. The role requires operating with exceptional integrity to deliver Global Product Development System (GPDS) milestones on time, executing validation testing for each new software/hardware release, and establishing robust electrical DV plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BSEE) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in vehicle and breadboard electrical feature validation.
  • 1+ years of experience with CANalyzer, VehicleSpy, and python scripting.
  • 1+ years of experience with JIRA Issue tracking tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Electrical systems design and/or electrical/functional testing.
  • Experience with certification and homologation, FMVSS and ECE requirements.
  • Experience in program management ensuring components and systems are developed according to official product development systems.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office products.
  • Experience with MATLAB and Simulink for simulation.
  • Experience with VISION ATI, Vehicle Spy, Wireshark.
  • Familiarity with Ford systems such as AVBOM, ELMS, CPARS, FEDE, GIPRS, Teamcenter, VSEM, WERS, and GPDS program timing.
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule.
  • High energy, self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good collaboration skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Complete physical validation of Software/Hardware functionality at major program milestones.
  • Drive pre-test readiness and troubleshoot Design Verification (DV) issues.
  • Provide requirement assessment documentation.
  • Coordinate FDJ electrical breadboard build and identify vehicle specifications.
  • Generate bill of material for all required electrical components.
  • Order electrical parts in coordination with purchasing teams.
  • Manage part delivery timing.
  • Coordinate electrical FDJ breadboard construction in the electrical laboratory.
  • Create electrical systems test plan according to vehicle feature content.
  • Manage ECU software configuration, maintenance, and testing on Breadboard.
  • Operate with integrity to deliver GPDS milestones on time.
  • Execute validation testing for each new software/hardware release.
  • Determine program content impacting electrical DV.
  • Establish robust electrical DV plans and set up electronic Design Verification System.
  • Create pre-test documentation.
  • Ensure proper test direction for DV, FMVSS & ECE.
  • Manage software implementation on FDJ BBs.
  • Communicate feature testing status in management meetings.
  • Resolve and/or elevate issues jeopardizing PEC/FEC sign-off milestones.
  • Support certification and development testing for type approval and homologation.
  • Schedule and execute test cases of electrical feature requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and update simulator hardware and software model test systems.
