Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technologist with 2+ years of experience.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IEEE, IEC, and NEMA.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and preparing technical reports.
  • Strong attention to detail, initiative, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to archive and manage test data using software and server tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in transformers or high‑voltage systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical tests including winding resistance, turns ratio, excitation, power factor, and losses.
  • Create clear and accurate test plans with the support of engineers and the test team.
  • Compile transformer test data and produce structured technical reports.
  • Perform low‑power, high‑power, and high‑voltage testing in a safe and controlled environment.
  • Analyze engineering data and documentation to support product quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering groups to evaluate criteria and recommend improvements.
  • Investigate technical issues and contribute to corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to technicians.
