About The Position

The position involves troubleshooting electrical equipment problems, performing preventative maintenance, repairs, project work, and installation of electrical equipment. The role requires assisting mechanics and operators with daily maintenance while ensuring that all work is conducted safely. The electrical equipment includes control systems (PLCs), motors and drives (VFDs), lighting, and power distribution.

Requirements

• Excellent safety record
• 1 year of industrial electrical experience
• Experienced in safely working on systems up to 480V
• Basic knowledge of power distribution, AC motors and motor control
• Experience in relay control circuits and/or PLCs
• Skilled at troubleshooting, problem solving and installation of electrical equipment
• Applicants must possess at least one of the following: Proven electrical aptitude - Electrical Test Score above 70%, Technical military training related to electrical theory and maintenance, At least 5 years of hands-on experience with the equipment described above in a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years working as an electrician or technician in an industrial environment
• Experienced in safely working on systems up to and including 480 VAC
• Good working knowledge and understanding of Allen Bradley or GE PLCs and drives
