About The Position

Responsible for the electrical diagnostics and wiring of conveyors

Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology or related field or a certificate and/or specialized training in electrical technology.
  • Certificate in Electrical Technology or related field.
  • Must speak, read, write English fluently
  • 2-4 years of experience in electrical systems.
  • Experience of 3-phase and 12/24 VDC electrical control systems
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and engineering drawings
  • Experience of electric system installation and wiring on plant equipment in a high volume production environment
  • Knowledge of automotive electrical and hydraulic schematics and significant experience of electrical fault finding and diagnostics withing a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • State electrical license is preferred.
  • PLC experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of industrial machine systems would be preferred as well as hydraulic pumps and valves.

Responsibilities

  • Wiring of production plants on the assembly lines, assisting with the fitting of electrical systems, trouble shooting software problems and electrical faults
  • Testing and troubleshooting machine functionality.
  • Cataloging and analyzing system non-performances
  • Ensure all paperwork is up to date, completed and filed
  • Actively minimize plant downtime in support of production by responding quickly to production line breakdown situations when required
  • Reading of electrical drawings
  • Involved in driving product and supplier electrical quality improvement
  • Assist the quality team with completing pre-dispatch inspection checks and correcting electrical/control defects.
  • Liaison with Supervisors, Managers and team members
