About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed qualified Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Technician to support this journey via providing expert technical knowledge and work along side the operation to help build the knowledge of the teams, along with help deliver best in class results. This is a day based role working within our Paper mill.

Requirements

Proven Electrical and Instrumentation experience in a heavy industry, manufacturing or process environment
A recognised electrical or electrical/instrument engineering apprenticeship preferably with a City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ qualification
Proven experience in maintaining complex automated manufacturing systems and equipment
Experience with Siemens PLC logic (S7 classic, TIA portal)
Excellent trouble shooting skills, with the ability to plan and work to tight timelines while managing several tasks
Experience in panel wiring
Knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic components
Strong communication skills
Strong PC skills (excel, word, project)
HNC level qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent

Responsibilities

Use your technical expertise and knowledge to improve the day to day operational efficiency of our machinery, by ensuring regular and efficient maintenance is carried out.
Solve problems quickly and effectively to support the overall aim of hitting key performance indicators (KPI’s) and stretch targets.
Carrying out both predictive and reactive work you will work both independently and as part of a team.
