About The Position

Summary of Duties The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local building codes, and company safety standards. This role includes troubleshooting electrical issues, performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance, and supporting upgrades, remodels, and new construction projects. The position also involves collaborating with other departments to minimize operational disruptions, responding to emergency calls, maintaining accurate documentation, managing inventory of supplies, and mentoring less experienced team members as needed. This position performs duties with or without direct supervision and serves as a general facilities technician when electrical specific work is not required. Position Purpose The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment throughout the casino and resort property. This role ensures a safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all electrical components, including lighting and power systems, to support a seamless guest and team member experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a state-approved apprenticeship program or equivalent formal training.
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification as required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License
  • Requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to work independently, with or without direct supervision.
  • Position involves prolonged walking, stooping, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds daily.
  • Must be able to work in physically demanding conditions and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Work is performed in a casino environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and temperature.
  • Must be able to maintain focus and professionalism in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
