JOB SUMMARY: Take charge of the setup and execution of cutting-edge electronics and electromechanical development, validation, and certification for high-performance off-road vehicles. Collaborate closely with innovative engineers to drive the development and validation process, ensuring every vehicle meets the toughest standards and pushes the limits of off-road technology.

Requirements

  • 2 or 4 year degree in electronics, automotive/ag technology, or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical theory/components/troubleshooting.
  • Data collection/analysis experience required.
  • Ability to learn new software/tools.
  • Strong computer/electronics/mechanical skills.
  • Effective verbal/written communication.
  • To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble vehicles, install instrumentation, collect and analyze test data.
  • Develop and implement testing procedures for performance, function, and durability.
  • Build prototypes (harnesses, PCBs, mounts) and assess new technologies.
  • Modify electrical/electromechanical systems using design tools for prototype evaluation.
  • Lead and complete development, validation, and certification tests.
  • Diagnose issues, propose solutions, and execute corrective actions.
  • Document details and prepare test reports; communicate results and recommendations.
  • Operate/setup test equipment and write simple software scripts as needed.
  • Instrument vehicles for various measurements (strain, force, voltage, etc.).
  • Maintain lab inventory, supplies, equipment, and calibration.
  • Procure and manage test equipment.
  • Train and mentor staff in testing methods.
  • Travel occasionally; maintain a safe, clean work area; comply with OSHA standards.
  • Represent professionally when interacting externally.
  • Uphold confidentiality and perform other assigned tasks.
