The Maintenance Electrician ensures operation of production machinery and electrical equipment by troubleshooting, performing repairs and preventive maintenance in an effective, efficient and safe manner.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience working as an Electrician in an industrial manufacturing or similar environment
  • Efficient in sizing conductors, conduits and using NEC Code Book
  • Experienced in handling low to high voltage up to 480 VAC
  • Experience with installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and programming of VFD’s
  • Experience with troubleshooting PLC’s
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair motor control centers (MCC) and all circuit protection devices
  • Diagnose and apply results using: Voltmeters, ammeters, IR and megger
  • Have the ability to climb stairs and ladders
  • Able to work in all weather conditions
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Willing and able to work overtime hours during the week, weekends and/or holidays as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced in Process Controls
  • Ability to become qualified to operate lifting equipment (Fork Truck, Ariel lift, Etc.)
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Familiar with current Arc Flash regulations
  • Position may require employee to work around and troubleshoot energized equipment

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair and test electrical systems on industrial equipment including, Motors, sensors, pumps, PLC control systems, power distribution, lighting, and network systems to NEC standards.
  • Perform final system check out with full understanding of what the equipment does / is supposed to do
  • Retrieve and close out PMs and work orders from CMMS system. Make recommendations for PM adjustments and/or PM additions to equipment.
  • Perform monitoring of ladder logic programs for troubleshooting, monitoring input/output modules, and modifications for process improvements
  • Work from technical manuals, schematics, drawings, sketches, SOPs, written and verbal instructions
  • Participate in all AVO training related to his/her job to gain knowledge/skills/abilities needed for exceptional performance.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere with a high regard for environmental impact of the operation.
  • Follow all Adams safety rules and regulations including working knowledge of arc flash, lock out/Tag Out (LOTO), fall protection equipment, National Electric Code (NEC) and other forms of personal protective equipment.
  • Communicate in a professional and positive manner to accomplish duties effectively, working as a team with all involved.
  • Be an involved/engaged member of the team and willing to act and think independently.
  • Maintain a high level of accountability.
  • Reliability to carry out duties and follow instructions.
