Position Overview We are currently seeking an Electrical Technician for an immediate opening to support our energy efficiency programs in Sacramento, CA. Job Summary The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing approved energy efficiency upgrades at customer locations. This role works closely with Lead Installers to manage assigned work orders and ensure projects are completed accurately, safely, and to customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Skilled with a variety of hand and power tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic lighting and wiring problems
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment providing and taking direction
  • Must possess a high degree of safety awareness
  • Organized and detail-oriented, problem-solving individual
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Inventory control systems and management experience
  • Pass background and drug screen
  • Good driving record and a valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical license
  • Knowledge in Energy Efficiency Field
  • Experience and knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and heating system

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify installation measures in accordance with the Installation Agreement
  • Identify and communicate additional installation opportunities to the Lead Technician
  • Assist the Lead Technician in determining required tools and materials for each job
  • Perform assigned installation tasks and testing as directed
  • Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining respect for the customer’s property
  • Comply with dress code requirements, including safety shoes, long pants, and approved contractor apparel with badge
  • Install all approved and feasible measures, including those identified during installation and authorized by the Lead Technician
  • Remove and properly dispose of all hazardous and non-hazardous materials and job-site debris
  • Support the Lead Technician in accurately documenting completed work and notes on approved work orders
  • Follow all safety guidelines and perform work in a safe and responsible manner
  • Complete additional duties as assigned
