Repairs, maintains, and installs wiring, motors (up to 14KV motors), motor controls, PLC’s, AC/DC Drives, transformers, motors, generators, lighting, instrumentation, valves and other electrical systems. Troubleshoots and services all production and support equipment within the facility in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring minimal downtime. Provides technical support by operating a variety of electrical testing equipment in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions within the facility. Studies plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequences of repairs and/or installations. Must be proficient in the understanding of preventive maintenance processes. Performs breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and support as directed on all production equipment, utilities, building/grounds, etc. Completes parts requisitions, reservations, work orders, time confirmations, and notifications within SAP completely and in a timely manner. Works on AC and DC Drives, variable frequency drives, PLC and motor controls along with all types of electrical phasing. Works independently and on teams and demonstrates safe work practices. Utilizes in depth knowledge of automation and process control systems. Adheres to preventative/predictive maintenance schedules as outlined in work schedules for both outage and non-outage work. Reads and follows equipment manufacturer’s specifications in regards to assembly, component replacement, use in troubleshooting, and other activities.
