Division Steel Dynamics Responsibilities Troubleshooting electrical equipment problems Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, project work and installation of electrical equipment Assist mechanics and operators with daily maintenance and ensure work is done safely Electrical equipment includes but is not limited to: Control systems (PLC’s), motors and drives (VFD’s), lighting and power distribution Qualifications Excellent safety record 1 year of industrial electrical experience Experienced in safely working on systems up to 480V Basic knowledge of power distribution, AC motors and motor control Experience in relay control circuits and/or PLC’s Skilled at troubleshooting, problem solving and installation of electrical equipment Applicants must possess at least one of the following: Proven electrical aptitude – Electrical Test Score above 70% Technical military training related to electrical theory and maintenance At least 5 years of hands-on experience with the equipment described above in a manufacturing environment Preferred At least 2 years working as an electrician or technician in an industrial environment Experienced in safely working on systems up to and including 480 VAC Good working knowledge and understanding of Allen Bradley or GE PLC’s and drives Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.
