About The Position

This position is responsible for providing programming, troubleshooting and repair of vehicle electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems as required to meet production goals. Document work and results as required and advise management of vehicle condition. Function in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and maintain control of situations as they arise.

Requirements

Previous electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience, repair experience.
Previous PLC, ladder logic, AC and DC systems experience
Knowledge of reading blueprints, basic electrical circuitry and design.
Intermediate level computer skills preferred
Strong interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills
Ability to listen, understand and follow instructions.
Excellent time management skills.
Detail-oriented and consistent.
Electrical troubleshooting experience
Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
Lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and move up to 25 pounds frequently, and lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to bend, stoop and reach.
Must be able to climb up and down ladders.
Must have manual dexterity in order to perform installs/checkouts as directed.
Must have excellent hand - eye coordination

Nice To Haves

High voltage experience a plus
Associates degree in automotive discipline, electronics or equivalent vocational schooling preferred

Responsibilities

Identify issues of electrical systems using advanced electrical theory, PLC and ladder logic.
Work with blueprints, process sheets, schematics and instructions as required.
Work with various Hybrid Drive systems, communication networks, and electrical components.
Communicate any and all issues that arise in the required checkouts of a bus.
Responsible for applying safe work practices with electrical systems by adhering to safety policies, procedures and processes.
Work with electrical components and have knowledge of how they work (i.e. resistors, diodes and relays).
Will learn how to perform work around high voltage systems (200+ volts).
Perform work with various software programs including, but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Internet browsers and diagnostic applications.
Perform all work allocated by leadership.
Will be able to troubleshoot complex issues with little to no supervision.
Will be able to instruct employees in a junior classification within the trade.
Able to work first (1st) and/or second (2nd) shift based off of Collective Bargaining Agreement.
All other duties as assigned.
