About The Position

Rooter Hero Plumbing & Air is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our growing team in La Habra, CA . In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate has hands-on electrical experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with technicians, mechanics, and engineers.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Technology, Electronics, or a related field .
  • Completion of an electrical training program or apprenticeship is preferred.
  • 1–5 years of experience working with electrical systems or equipment.
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or maintenance environments .
  • Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints .
  • Knowledge of AC/DC circuits and electrical components .
  • Experience using testing tools such as multimeters, voltage testers, and clamp meters .
  • Understanding of motor controls, control panels, and electrical wiring .
  • Familiarity with electrical safety procedures .
  • Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures .
  • Understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Strong time management and reliability.
  • Ability to lift equipment 30–50 lbs .
  • Ability to work on ladders, around machinery, or in tight spaces .
  • Comfortable standing or moving for extended periods .
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of PLCs or automation systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices such as multimeters, voltage testers, and clamp meters.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.
  • Replace or repair defective components including switches, relays, circuit breakers, and motors.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
  • Collaborate with technicians, mechanics, and engineers to resolve system issues.
  • Assist with installing new equipment and upgrading electrical systems when necessary.
