About The Position

The Electrical Technician Journeyman installs, services and repairs electrical systems; assists with sales and design of new systems.

Requirements

• Associates of Science Degree with a concentration in Electrical strongly preferred.
• Maine State licensed Journeyman electrician required.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least three years of Electrical experience is preferred.
• Ability to read schematics.
• Ability to think creatively, deduct and reason; an abstract and mental imagery thought process.
• Customer service skills: ability to deal courteously and effectively with members of the public.
• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and coordinate work, calls, and other tasks.
• Ability to work efficiently with little to no supervision.

Responsibilities

• Accepts service calls and goes on location to assist residential and commercial customers.
• Prepares quotes and orders parts as needed.
• Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems.
• Maintains proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle to ensure work can be completed efficiently.
• Communicates with customers on work to be performed, time frames, delays.
• Trains other technicians on the job as needed.
• Maintains company vehicle in good working order and reports any issues in a timely manner.
• Participates in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies.
• Identifies and reports to Electrical manager any potential opportunities for additional business.
• Assists and backs up technicians in other departments.
