The tasks listed below represent much of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional tasks related to the type of work of the position as necessary. Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs a variety of electrical and instrumentation assets such as variable frequency drives, flow meters, transducers, generators, transfer switches, programmable logic controls, integrated controls, motor control panels, electrical services, branch circuits, sub-feeders, and SCADA. Programs, calibrates and installs, a variety of instrumentation and electronic equipment at facilities, to include, control panels, VFD, PLC, level instruments (Vega), flow meters, and mission communication/ SCADA. Inspects equipment and processes to determine efficiency of operations, maintenance requirements, and cleanliness. Performs preventive maintenance on electrical equipment. Performs and/or assists with scheduled and unscheduled equipment repairs as needed. Assists in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment. Orders parts, supplies and materials as needed for maintenance and repair work. Maintains assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment. Alerts supervisors to unusual operating problems. Prepares and maintains accurate and complete work records. Completes City Works CMMS work orders accurately. Serves on call 24 hours a day as scheduled and responds to emergency situations as necessary. Attends conferences, meetings, training, seminars, etc., as necessary to maintain and enhance job knowledge and skills. Management may assign additional duties as trained for and qualified to do so related to the work of the position as necessary.
