About The Position

The position at Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A. involves monitoring processes in the area of responsibility to ensure that equipment and control parameters are functioning as designed. Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Be able to obtain within 90 days of employment and hold a 'TWIC' - Transportation Workers Identification Card for duration of employment
  • An Associate's degree in Electrical or related fields or a NCCER Certification or minimum two (2) years of plant electrical maintenance experience

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical equipment malfunctions
  • Repair electrical equipment & systems
  • Install electrical equipment and control devices/circuits
  • Run electrical conduit, cable tray with associated fitting and wirings
  • Calibrate protective relays and transducers
  • Troubleshoot and program various V.F.D.
  • Troubleshoot electrical malfunction in various laboratory equipment
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to, ISO, personnel, quality, environmental, health, safety, regulatory and company requirements
  • Comply with NTG (Nothing Touching the Ground) requirements, including daily audits
  • Be active in Operation Clean Sweep, and ensure employees are aware of and accountable for pellet loss prevention, containment, cleanup and disposal
  • Work outside normal shift hours as needed
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other tasks and duties assigned by Supervisor to perform test and PM on following equipment: 480V, 4160V and 13.8KV SWGR, 13.8KV Capacitor Banks, 13.8/4.16KV and 13.8KV/480V Transformers, 1000 HP 500V DC Motor and Controller, 4160V and 480V MCC, UPS System, 480V, 4160V and 13.8KV Motors
