The Electrical Technician is responsible for all maintenance activities related to assigned medium voltage electrical equipment for the crews. Responsible for electrical equipment safety and cleanliness. Must communicate with Electronics Manager daily with crew electrical needs, field issues/concerns and scheduling. The Electrical Technician is responsible for performing electrical testing, functional test, and start-up of equipment. This would include switchgears, motor contactors, disconnect switches, circuit breakers, panel boards, transformer, surge protection devices, cables, and protective relays. The Electrical Technician is required to provide clear communication to Electronics Manager regarding changes to maintenance plans and equipment readiness. The Electrical Technician is to review and perform QC on completed units, ensure work order compliance, and verify that a unit has no open work orders before being returned to service. Communicates any operational changes or issues to Electronics Manager. The Electrical Technician must ensure the full implementation, adoption, and effectiveness of the maintenance plan and drive the maintenance groups to their associated metrics of on-time delivery, high quality, and budgeted cost.
