The Electrical Technician role at Çimsa Americas is a critical position within our Houston facility, which is part of Cimsa Cement San. Tic. A.S., the world's largest white cement supplier. This position is focused on the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic systems, components, and apparatus for machinery and equipment in an industrial setting. The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of various electrical systems that support our cement production operations, which have a total production volume of approximately 300,000 TPY. As an Electrical Technician, you will engage in a variety of tasks including the reconstruction, repair, disassembly, and assembly of electrical systems, PLC equipment, automation systems, and other related components. You will perform electrical testing and calibration, conduct routine preventative maintenance, and ensure the safe operation of equipment. Identifying faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics will be a key part of your role, as will determining the immediate need for maintenance action and responding appropriately. You will also participate in daily meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime, assess the condition of used parts, maintain an inventory of parts and tools, and prepare maintenance reports as required. In addition to technical skills, this role requires excellent communication abilities, as you will interact with vendors and outside service providers, and may also participate in training apprentices and new employees.
