About The Position

NV5 owner representatives act as a dedicated advocate, alleviating project complexities and mitigating risks effectively. Utilizing the latest project controls and project management software, NV5 owner representatives plan and monitor project performance, identifying deviations from the plan and implementing corrective actions in a timely, cost-effective manner. Our expertise in electrical reliability, strategic planning, project controls, and transition management ensures on-time, within-budget delivery to the highest quality standards. Whether it’s, facilitating site assessments, or coordinating facility shutdowns, owners can confidently trust our team to achieve project goals while experiencing peace of mind. As our Electrical Technical Project Manager, you will manage electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure commissioning and energization work by facilitating the planning, scheduling of Field Engineers and supporting technical review of handover documentation on our client’s behalf. Your understanding of electrical construction, customer owned electrical power equipment, and arc flash studies will be important to ensure the electrical reliability of our client’s projects. The position location is remote. Work is occurring throughout North America. Flexible work hours will be required to accommodate different time zones. The successful candidate will work virtually, with up to 10% overnight travel to project sites.

Requirements

  • Education in an Electrical discipline is required.
  • Experience within engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) and wiring of commercial building electrical infrastructure or similar is a plus.
  • Understanding of SEL relay functionality and programing requirements.
  • Experience with Low and Medium voltage switchgear (600V- 35kV) and circuit breakers.
  • Must be able to read and understand single line diagrams.
  • Field resource scheduling experience is a must.
  • Must be organized and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft programs including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, Adobe / Bluebeam and Smartsheet.

Responsibilities

  • Gather the following types of documents: Site drawings, arc flash studies, coordination studies, QAQC documentation, megger, torque and PowerDB reports.
  • Follow up to resolve and close out punchlist deficiency log items.
  • Responsible for financial budgets per project and monthly reporting.
  • Responsible for scheduling and coordinating NV5 Field Engineer witness testing to oversee LV and MV equipment.
  • Convey overall project status to clients by means of discussions, presentations, and project reports.
  • Facilitate communication between Field Engineers and Vendors onsite. Assist in interpreting deficiencies and providing correct path forward.
  • Attend daily construction status meetings including commissioning kick off calls.
  • Ability to engage with multiple stakeholder groups and coordinate remotely.
  • Responsible for the effective management of own time and effort.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, ability to manage several sites simultaneously and work in fast paced work environment.
