The MV-75 Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) is the Premier Vertical Lift military program in the world. Bell's MV-75 FLRAA aircraft will become the Army's primary assault aircraft for the next 30 years, sunsetting UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters and advancing the Army's assault capabilities. The MV-75 program is utilizing the latest in cutting edge technology to expand the United States Army’s tactical advantage in future conflicts. The Bell MV-75 team seeks the top engineering talents from around the industry to design, develop, and deliver the world’s next-generation military aircraft. This position is onsite in Fort Worth, TX Headquarters. This role will move to the Flight Research Center plant later in 2026 to work full time at the Systems Integration Lab in South Arlington, TX. FLRAA Electrical Systems IPT Overview The Electrical Systems Integrated Product Team (IPT) is responsible for developing and integrating aircraft electrical power generation & distribution subsystem and interior/exterior lighting. The team will perform system and software integration, requirements management, system safety assessment, validation and verification testing in systems integration labs, airworthiness qualification, and flight test of these systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, major in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred. Related Engineering degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
  • Looking for Engineers at all levels: with at least 2 years of relevant engineering experience in aerospace industry is required. Engineers with 10+ years experience should also apply.
  • Familiarity with some of the following standards: RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, RTCA DO-178, RTCA DO-254, SAE ARP4754A, SAE ARP4761, 14 CFR Part 27 and Part 29 for commercial and military qualification and certification of aircraft systems
  • Experience with avionics electrical interfaces including analog, digital, discrete I/O
  • Experience with creation of system specifications or electrical schematics
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools for durations, predecessor/successor logic, and budget
  • Ability to perform avionics / electrical system testing in a systems integration lab
  • Ability to analyze and resolve hardware/software integration issues as they arise
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams to define requirements, interfaces and design
  • Familiarity with data protocols; ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, Ethernet
  • Familiarity with MBSE and SysML, Cameo Systems Modeler or similar

Responsibilities

  • Design Electrical and Lighting Subsystem architecture, requirements management, systems specifications, interface management, system schematics, and integration with other vehicle management / aircraft systems
  • Reviewing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and statusing activity progress
  • Coordinating with and managing electrical and avionics system suppliers in the development, integration, and testing of electrical/lighting subsystem components to include processor-based control units, software, high power electrical distribution and switching, and visible/InfraRed lighting
  • System and software integration, requirements management, systems specifications, interface management, system safety assessment, validation and verification testing in systems integration labs, aircraft flight test, and aircraft/system qualification and certification.
  • Development of test requirements to drive systems integration lab and flight test aircraft instrumentation design
  • Perform hardware and software integration testing of multiple systems operating together in a systems integration lab
  • Support all phases of development from design, qualification, integration testing, flight test, and production.
  • Coordinating with teams from other disciplines including aerodynamics, propulsion, airframe structures, and rotors
  • Model-based systems engineering to develop system architectures and define interfaces between components
