About The Position

Provide input to, author, update, train, and ensure adherence to test and quality standards, product specifications, work instructions, Quality Alerts and procedures. Assist the test team in product troubleshooting and failure analysis. Assist in preparation and execution of customer factory witness test events. Provide input for designing, selecting, supporting, servicing, and troubleshooting of test equipment and electrical systems, testing protocols, test data collection and best practices to improve quality, safety and throughput of the test process. Implement and maintain data analysis and collection methods and assure the documenting, monitoring and timely reporting of test related defects/data. Analyze, interpret and effectively present test data. Provide input to Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and assure test work instructions and processes are updated based on output of FMEA/Control Plan updates. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities (A3, 8D, 5why, fishbone, etc.). Support testing function in achieving customer expectations, financial performance, and key operational performance indicators (safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory) Support continuous improvement activities, cost out, kaizen, business process improvement, rapid improvement event structured problem solving, and other methods to create a lean culture and increase operational performance. Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution with minimum of four (4) years in testing, engineering design, or electronics experience OR Bachelor's Degree with minimum of one (1) year experience in a manufacturing or engineering function (coursework and internship experience apply)
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Richmond, VA will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area.
  • Ability to use a variety of computer systems including Microsoft office and assigned technical software.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to effectively present results and recommendations to leadership team.
  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings including electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, power flow diagrams, mechanical blueprints and other electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in a manufacturing organization with a focus on electrical or electronics products.
  • Experience in technical writing with focus on electrical engineering.
  • Experience in technical project management.
  • Ability to get results and drive change through others.
