About The Position

Electrical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer (Senior or Principal) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing’s Cardfile team is hiring an Electrical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer (Senior or Principal) for our Everett, Washington location. Position Overview: The selected candidate will work directly with customers to define and document electronic and electrical system requirements for complex, multi-tiered programs, translating those requirements into system architectures, hardware and software designs, and detailed interface specifications. Responsibilities include leading testing and validation activities to ensure designs meet operational and functional needs, developing program test strategies, managing critical supplier performance to ensure integration and compliance, and conducting independent program reviews with findings reported to program leadership. Ongoing support for fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle is expected, along with leading research into emerging technologies for potential business application and recommending strategic technology investments. The role is recognized as a business-unit expert in process development and qualification, physical and functional integration, installation design, and in resolving complex supplier technical issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience in the aerospace industry.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in working on LRUs with embedded software, particularly DAL level A.
  • 5+ years as Lead Engineer for program development.
  • Knowledge of FAA / EASA certification.
  • Experience with hardware and software design.
  • Experience with model based development tools.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams.
  • Experience with the Cardfile systems.

Responsibilities

  • Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
  • Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Oversees the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
