About The Position

We're building safety-enhancing technology for aviation that will save lives. Automated aviation systems will enable a future where air transportation is safer, more convenient and fundamentally transformative to the way goods - and eventually people - move around the planet. We are a team of mission-driven engineers with experience across aerospace, robotics and self-driving cars working to make this future a reality. As an Electrical System Integration Engineering Intern at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the System Integration Engineering team, reporting to the system integration engineering manager. This is a small team of highly motivated people designing, testing, and flying advanced electrical systems. We enjoy combining mechanical and electrical hardware and getting it onto an aircraft safely and quickly.

Requirements

  • Junior or Senior standing in 4-year college degree program in electrical engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience reading electrical wiring schematics.
  • Experience testing electronic systems for proper performance.
  • Experience writing and running code.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands on application of electronic systems through classes, clubs, or hobbies.
  • Experience designing a system architecture and weighing design options to accomplish specific system requirements.
  • Ability to design, build, and operate electrical test stands and equipment.
  • Excellent measurement, technical writing, and data analysis skills.
  • Eagerness to both teach and learn.

Responsibilities

  • Own a project through the planning, assembly, and testing phases of development.
  • Gain experience in system design as well as hands-on experience building and testing systems both in the lab and on development aircraft.
  • Contribute to high priority and value-added efforts for automated flight systems.

Benefits

  • Estimated annualized salary of $100,000.
