About The Position
The Working Electrical Supervisor provides hands-on leadership and technical oversight to the Electrical Shop while performing journey-level electrical work to support facility operations. The William J. Hughes Technical Center for Advanced Aerospace's normal hours of operation (NHO) are 6:00 A.M. through 6:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a licensed or journeyman electrician with proven leadership skills.
- Ability to perform both supervisory and hands-on technical duties in a unionized environment.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug test.
- Candidates must pass a background check prior to hire.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, assign, and review work of electrical shop personnel.
- Perform journey-level electrical installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
- Plan and coordinate electrical projects and maintenance schedules.
- Train and mentor subordinate electricians.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Maintain records of work, inventory, and team performance.
- Collaborate with other departments on electrical requirements.
