We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervising Engineer to lead a team of controls engineers and designers for a nuclear power plant located in the Detroit or Toledo area. In this role, you will provide continuous on-site support to ensure the safe, efficient, and effective operation of electrical systems within the plant. You will oversee daily activities, mentor your team, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Additionally, you will support multiple projects and coordinate activities with clients, contractors, vendors, and other project team members. This is an onsite role open to local candidates. Key Responsibilities: Oversight and approval of Engineering Change Packages include the following components: Equipment specifications, data sheets, calculations, and analyses required to support the design and configuration control process. Equipment specifications encompass transformers, switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS/DC), communication systems, as well as digital and process instrumentation and control system components. Calculations involve electrical studies such as short circuit analysis, voltage drop assessments, coordination studies, and arc flash studies using OTI-ETAP software. Electrical and Instrumentation Control (I&C) design documents include single line diagrams, panel schedules, schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, electrical physical drawings, raceway drawings, lighting and grounding plans, and cable schedules. Supervisory responsibilities include reviewing proposals, schedules, and budgets; monitoring and reporting on budget and schedule performance; and providing technical leadership to engineers and designers within the Electrical/I&C discipline.
