About the position

The Electrical Superintendent will oversee the operations and field personnel responsible for the installation, additions, and repairs of electrical systems and associated materials for assigned jobs. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with regulations. The Superintendent will report directly to the Project Manager and will be involved in various aspects of project management, including safety, productivity, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct all field personnel involved in the project, including orientation, time keeping, and reporting.
• Function as the Site Safety Representative for the project as needed.
• Conduct construction take-offs using bid estimates to plan jobs efficiently and profitably.
• Ensure timely ordering and receipt of materials to comply with job schedules.
• Collaborate with Fabrication to maximize savings on field material installations.
• Maintain personal tools as directed by leadership and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
• Read and comply with all guidelines in the Employee Handbook, Safety Manual, and Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid state driver's license.
• High School Graduate/GED required.
• Journeyman Electrician/completion of Apprenticeship Program required.
• Minimum of 6 years of electrical experience preferred in industrial or commercial construction.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong commercial and industrial electrical background.
• Strong troubleshooting skills utilizing sophisticated test equipment.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
• OSHA 30 Hour, CPR, and First Aid trained.
• Ability to manage customer and company-specific information in an organized manner.
