About The Position

This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of custom home electrical projects, including new construction and remodels, from planning through completion. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with high-end residential installations, lighting control systems, and the management of on-site crews to ensure exceptional craftsmanship and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or apprenticeship completion preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent or Foreman specializing in custom or high-end residential work.
  • Strong knowledge of lighting control systems and integration with smart home platforms.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Lutron HomeWorks, Control4, Crestron, or similar lighting control systems.
  • OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR/AED, Arc Flash Certification.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, system commissioning, and technical management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-end projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all phases of custom residential electrical construction projects, ensuring work meets design specifications, building codes, and quality standards.
  • Plan and execute the layout and installation of electrical systems, lighting, power, and specialty controls for high-end residences.
  • Lead and coordinate crews, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain efficient workflow and meet project timelines.
  • Install, program, and troubleshoot lighting control systems (e.g., Lutron HomeWorks, Control4, Crestron, Savant, etc.) and integrate them with other home automation components.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, and design documents to ensure proper placement of devices, fixtures, and controls.
  • Oversee and perform conduit bending (EMT and Rigid), wire pulls, panel terminations, and power distribution (transformers, panels, feeders, etc.).
  • Perform detailed testing and inspections to verify system integrity and functionality.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring high-quality and code-compliant installations.
  • Maintain clear communication with project managers, designers, builders, and clients to ensure project goals are met.
  • Promote a positive and professional work environment focused on safety, teamwork, and craftsmanship.
  • Perform additional electrical duties as required to support the project and company needs.
