Requirements

  • 8 years of construction trade or project experience in the electrical industry, preferably with commercial, multi-family residential, and/or airport projects.
  • Experience leading crews of 1-20 journeymen/apprentices on projects ranging from $1-$12 million.
  • Valid journeyman electrician card.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • OSHA Safety certification.
  • Ability to complete necessary competent person tests and certifications.
  • Proficient in scheduling and experience with scheduling platforms like MS Project or P6.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized.

  • Skilled & trained preferred (Building Group).
  • Ability to forecast 3 to 12 months.
  • Demonstrated leadership traits.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Structure job site crews for optimal execution of work and manage systems or phases with foreman and field engineers.
  • Coach and develop direct reports to grow in their careers, utilizing tools like 3A+ and employee development plans.
  • Work with the General Superintendent to manage manpower efficiently based on project demands.
  • Build partnerships with Project Managers and field teams to ensure project success.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors for effective collaboration.
  • Integrate virtual construction and prefabrication into production plans.
  • Plan safety into every task, identifying hazards and training needs.
  • Monitor project field team performance and set role clarity for field leaders.
  • Perform preplanning and execute construction processes consistently.
  • Collaborate on work breakdown structures and production plans for major activities.
  • Review and update project schedules and ensure material alignment with schedules.
  • Ensure safety compliance and proper PPE usage on job sites.
  • Communicate production goals and track daily performance against those goals.
  • Participate in employee development and disciplinary processes.
  • Complete daily documentation and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Develop strong project closeout and execution plans.
