About The Position

We're looking for an Electrical Studies to join our team at ARSEAL! As a subject matter expert in Arch Flash Studies, the Electrical Studies Engineer ensures compliance with applicable codes and standards, delivers accurate and constructible design solutions, and contributes to the continuous improvement of departmental procedures and practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.
  • 3 - 5 years of power system analysis using ETAP or SKM.
  • 10+ years of progressive engineering and design experience, preferably in the oil & gas, utilities, or industrial sectors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in power distribution systems, electrical safety, and equipment specification.
  • Experienced in developing and managing estimates, schedules, and budgets for engineering tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development of innovative and technically sound electrical engineering solutions across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Prepares detailed electrical design packages, technical specifications, and bid documents for power distribution systems and equipment.
  • Develops and manages project schedules, estimates, and budgets for assigned engineering tasks.
  • Reviews the work and performance of department staff, providing constructive feedback and redlines to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Supports staff development by providing training opportunities, guidance on technical issues, and career coaching.
  • Acts as a technical mentor to junior engineers and designers, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensures all work complies with applicable codes and industry standards, including: NFPA 70 VFPA 70E
  • Applies advanced knowledge of standards in the preparation of designs, calculations, and documentation.
  • Provides cross-disciplinary coordination by interpreting and integrating civil, structural, and mechanical drawings.
  • Specifies medium-voltage electrical distribution equipment, such as switchgear, MVMCCs, motor starters, drives, and transformers.
  • Guides design teams to ensure solutions are cost-effective, maintainable, and constructible.
