About The Position

Skillforce is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician for a small electrical business. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity for someone with strong experience in residential electrical service and renovation.

PAY

$32–$34 per hour, depending on experience

SCHEDULE & LOCATION

8-hour shifts

Monday–Friday

Work locations include Maryland, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of residential electrical experience
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Own hand tools
• Ability to read and speak English

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot residential electrical service issues
• Install and service:
• Electrical wiring, outlets, and switches
• Data wiring
• Light fixtures, ceiling fans, recessed lighting, and LED lighting
• Security and landscape lighting
• Smoke detectors and CO₂ detectors
• Electrical panels (heavy-ups), breaker replacements
• Appliance outlets and GFCIs
