We are growing and are adding an Electrical Service Estimator to our team in Greenville, SC. Primary Role: A Service Estimator is responsible for cost calculations to determine how much it will cost a company to complete a project or provide products and services to its clients. They do this by researching the costs of the materials, transport, labor, and equipment. Service Estimators mostly focus on Service-related projects, typically $2 million or less in electrical contract value, in the region they are located in.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of field experience in electrical construction, industrial and commercial
• Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced work environment with very tight deadlines
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to travel periodically
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Accubid Anywhere and LiveCount Cloud software OR the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software
• Strong overall computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software, as well as industry-specific software
• Ability to use internet and web-based resources efficiently and effectively

Responsibilities

• Researching the cost of items such as materials, transport, labor, and equipment
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with contractors and vendors
• Getting quotes from suppliers and contractors within a specified time frame
• Assessing the risk levels associated with a project
• Preparing and submitting quotations and details of costs for work to be done
• Assisting with bids for new contracts and supporting the activities of buyers
• Monitoring the costs at the different stages of a project to ensure it stays within the estimated costs
• Travel to assigned projects as needed to gain a better of the work
