About The Position

ServiceX M.E.P., a premier provider of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services across the Mid‑Atlantic region, is seeking a motivated and relationship‑driven Electrical Service Business Development Representative to help expand our Electrical Service division. Overview In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, strengthening our presence in commercial and industrial markets, and delivering electrical service solutions that keep our clients’ facilities operating safely and efficiently. If you have strong sales instincts, a technical understanding of electrical systems, and a passion for building long-term partnerships, we want to talk to you.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of business development or sales experience in electrical service, commercial services, building systems, or related technical industries.
  • Proven success consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical systems (service, maintenance, upgrades, safety programs).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Drive New Business Growth
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities through cold outreach, networking, industry events, and strategic referrals.
  • Develop and execute plans to expand our commercial and industrial electrical service customer base.
  • Qualify prospects, schedule meetings, and build a robust, high‑quality pipeline.
  • Provide Consultative, Solutions‑Based Selling
  • Understand client operations and pain points to recommend tailored electrical service, maintenance, and safety solutions.
  • Communicate the value, reliability, and ROI of preventative electrical service programs.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations.
  • Build & Strengthen Client Relationships
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Conduct regular follow‑ups to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and identify upsell opportunities.
  • Build trusted relationships with facility managers, property managers, engineers, and ownership groups.
