SUMMARY The Specialist – I&E (Electrical) is responsible for identifying and implementing methods to improve reliability of Electrical Systems. The Specialist makes improvements in preventative and predictive maintenance to improve reliability and maintenance effectiveness

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of Electrical Maintenance experience. Diploma/Degree in the appropriate discipline desirable.
  • Previous experience in industrial plant facilities with knowledge of maintenance, planning and scheduling requirements
  • Experience with electrical testing procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Production, Maintenance/Scheduling and Engineering department, managers, supervisors and crafts persons
  • Successful candidates must satisfy background screening, including motor vehicle record screening, drug testing & pre-employment physical requirements before starting work.
  • A current, valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card is required.

Nice To Haves

  • NETA Certification (or equivalent electrical testing experience/certifications) Preferred
  • Experience with electrical protective relays preferred
  • Experience with MS Office and experience with SAP preferred or similar program

Responsibilities

  • Support and drive accident prevention and environmental excellence.
  • Develop and improve the Site Electrical Testing & PM Plan
  • Track and audit PM documentation and completion
  • Assist in management of electrical spare parts and revisions to warehouse stock. Evaluate stock periodically for updating and improvements
  • Review data from electrical PM’s to evaluate and optimize PM frequencies. Assist in developing PM documentation forms and procedures
  • Assist with failure investigations
  • Assist in development of major turnaround electrical work scopes
  • Support electrical reliability improvement projects
  • Develop new and improve existing Electrical maintenance procedures
  • Provide maintenance input on new projects
  • Assist as needed with development of Electrician Training Programs
  • Provide assistance to Electrical Engineers on reliability efforts and projects
  • Track and report on electrical equipment failures
  • Supports operations during unit startups, shutdowns, and runtime.
  • Assist engineers and electricians with development and execution of switching plans and procedures
  • Support ISO compliance efforts, audits, and documentation for quality critical equipment
