LotusWorks is seeking an Electrical QA/QC & Commissioning Engineer to provide independent verification and quality oversight of electrical equipment being fabricated and integrated off-site. This role ensures electrical systems are installed, inspected, documented, and prepared for energization in accordance with design specifications, manufacturer requirements, and commissioning procedures prior to startup. The engineer will work closely with fabrication teams, contractors, and commissioning authorities to ensure electrical infrastructure meets project quality standards before deployment to site.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical commissioning on complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of IVC, PFC, FPT, and IST processes.
  • Ability to execute test scripts, collect test data, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Proficiency with commissioning management tools (e.g., CxAlloy) and technical documentation.
  • Solid understanding of electrical safety procedures, including LOTOTO, PTP, RAMS, and site SOPs.
  • Ability to review electrical designs and develop commissioning test scripts.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills within multidisciplinary project teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections of electrical equipment including switchgear, UPS systems, PDUs, electrical skids, and control panels.
  • Verify installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, manufacturer requirements, and applicable electrical codes.
  • Conduct daily QA/QC walkdowns of electrical equipment fabrication and assembly at the integrator facility.
  • Verify cable terminations, grounding systems, labeling, torque values, and equipment identification.
  • Witness or review contractor pre-functional testing, including insulation resistance testing, continuity checks, and functional verification.
  • Confirm electrical safety protections such as guards, interlocks, and lockout/tagout provisions are properly installed.
  • Review installation documentation and maintain Level 2 installation verification checklists.
  • Record inspection observations and reports using commissioning platforms such as CxAlloy.
  • Identify deficiencies, log commissioning issues, and coordinate corrective actions with contractors and vendors.
  • Participate in commissioning coordination meetings with vendors, contractors, and commissioning authority teams.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
