About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead and support the delivery of mission-critical electrical infrastructure for data center construction projects. This role is ideal for a technically strong, electrically focused PM who is comfortable traveling to multiple project sites and supporting parallel builds or program-level initiatives. The Electrical Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring electrical systems are delivered safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with design, performance, and reliability requirements. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in North America. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience managing electrical scope on mission-critical or large commercial construction projects.
  • Strong technical background in electrical systems for data centers or critical facilities.
  • Experience managing electrical contractors and vendors on complex projects.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to support multiple project sites.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to operate effectively both on-site and remotely.

Nice To Haves

  • Data center or mission-critical facility experience.
  • Background with an electrical contractor, GC, or owner’s representative.
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes and integrated systems testing.
  • Proficiency with project management platforms (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).

Responsibilities

  • Manage the electrical scope of work for ground-up and expansion data center projects, from preconstruction through installation, testing, and turnover.
  • Provide on-site and remote oversight of electrical construction activities across multiple locations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for electrical contractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
  • Oversee installation and coordination of mission-critical electrical systems, including: Medium- and low-voltage power distribution
  • Switchgear, switchboards, and PDUs
  • UPS systems and battery rooms
  • Standby generators and paralleling gear
  • Grounding, bonding, and lightning protection systems
  • Ensure electrical systems meet redundancy, reliability, and performance requirements.
  • Direct electrical contractors to ensure adherence to scope, drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Monitor manpower, sequencing, and installation quality across sites.
  • Review RFIs, submittals, and change requests related to electrical scope.
  • Develop and track electrical schedules aligned with overall project milestones.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, procurement activities, and change management for electrical scope.
  • Identify electrical-specific risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect project delivery.
  • Support electrical testing, commissioning, and integrated systems testing activities.
  • Ensure electrical systems are fully tested, documented, and ready for operational turnover.
  • Coordinate closely with commissioning agents, controls teams, and client representatives.
  • Travel regularly to active project sites to support construction execution, issue resolution, and milestone reviews.
  • Provide flexible support across multiple projects or regions as required by program needs.
