Electrical Project Manager/Estimator
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager / Estimator to oversee commercial and industrial electrical construction projects from pre-construction estimating through final closeout. This role blends cost analysis, field coordination, scheduling oversight, and financial management to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate brings hands-on electrical contracting experience along with strong leadership and cost-control capabilities. Work Environment This position combines office-based estimating and planning responsibilities with active coordination on commercial and industrial job sites. The role requires strong collaboration with field teams and proactive communication with project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial or industrial electrical contracting
- Strong estimating, cost control, and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple active projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices
- Professional, client-facing communication abilities
- Proficiency with estimating and project management software
- Valid driver’s license and ability to visit job sites as required
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial and industrial electrical projects from bid award through completion
- Prepare detailed estimates, takeoffs, and competitive proposals
- Coordinate electricians, foremen, subcontractors, and material procurement
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
- Track change orders, cost performance, and project documentation
- Monitor job-site progress to ensure quality and safety compliance
- Communicate effectively with general contractors, owners, vendors, and internal teams
- Support smooth transition from estimating phase to active construction
