About the position
The Electrical Project Engineer will serve as the technical leader for design and market requirements, ensuring effective communication between North America Marketing and Asia-based factory teams. This role involves leading project planning, design analysis, and verification efforts while adhering to the New Product Development (NPD) process and maintaining project documentation.
Responsibilities
- Function as the technical leader for design and market requirements, communicating these ideas to the project team to set the engineering product specifications.
- Communicate between North America Marketing and Asia-based factory engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams on technical issues and customer requirements.
- Lead project planning/definition, DFMEA, design analysis, and verification efforts.
- Ensure NPD process is followed, NPD checklist and documentation is maintained, and project milestones and deadlines are met.
- Travel internationally for approximately 2 to 4 trips to overseas facilities in Taiwan, China, and/or Vietnam.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited institution in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years engineering technical project management experience.
- Experience with PCB layout.
- Experience with EMC/EMI requirements and mitigation techniques.
- Experience with embedded system design and best practices.
