About The Position

The Electrical Project Engineer supports the delivery of mission‑critical data center electrical construction projects. This role partners closely with Electrical Project Managers, field leadership, designers, vendors, and clients to assist with planning, coordination, documentation, and execution of highly reliable, schedule‑driven projects. The position emphasizes quality, safety, redundancy, and strict adherence to contract documents and commissioning requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–5 years of experience in electrical construction, preferably in mission‑critical or data center environments
  • Exposure to data center infrastructure including power distribution, redundancy systems, and commissioning processes preferred
  • Familiarity with estimating and takeoff software (McCormick, Accubid, or similar)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools (Procore, Bluebeam preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and one‑lines
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as required
  • Must pass drug screening and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to data center infrastructure including power distribution, redundancy systems, and commissioning processes preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools (Procore, Bluebeam preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with review of electrical drawings, specifications, and design documents for data center infrastructure
  • Support coordination of power distribution systems including switchgear, UPS, generators, bus duct, and critical branch power
  • Track material procurement and lead times for long‑lead mission‑critical equipment
  • Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, equipment cut sheets, and closeout documentation
  • Support project schedules, cost tracking, and progress reporting
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and utility providers
  • Participate in owner, design, and coordination meetings; assist with follow‑up actions
  • Support change management processes, including scope review and pricing documentation
  • Assist with inspections, testing, and commissioning activities
  • Provide field support to verify installations meet drawings, specifications, and quality standards
  • Ensure adherence to safety programs, AHJ requirements, and data center best practices
