The Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for the Design, Implementation, and Qualification of membrane manufacturing equipment (electrical portions). This includes component and vendor selection as well as contractor supervision. This position reports to the Project Engineering Leader and is part of the Advanced Engineering Group located in Pensacola, FL, and will be an on-site role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical preferred).
  • 1+ years of industrial engineering experience, including hands-on work with manufacturing floors or equipment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, including both desk-based design (30%), field installation (30%) activities, and manufacturing floor activities (35%), and willingness to work in challenging environments (e.g., high heat, under equipment)
  • Familiar with OSHA and local safety regulations, ensuring compliance in all engineering activities
  • Ability to travel – 10%, in supporting other Cytiva manufacturing sites, as well as factory acceptance tests
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • PLC programming
  • Familiarity with classified electrical hazardous locations (Class 1, Division 1 & 2), including standards for electrical components used in those environments.
  • Control panel design

Responsibilities

  • Provide programming support, troubleshoot electrical systems, and select components for engineering projects.
  • Design and manage vendor relationships for membrane manufacturing equipment.
  • Lead or collaborate with cross-functional teams across all phases: concept, design, procurement, installation, and qualification.
  • Create detailed electrical documentation and supervise contractors to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Support equipment installation qualification and drive continuous performance and reliability improvements.
