We are looking for a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our growing MEPS team in Raleigh, NC. In this vital role, you will take charge of electrical engineering design, utilizing cutting-edge Building Information Modeling (BIM) with Revit MEP software, and CAD drafting with AutoCAD. Your responsibilities will encompass drawing production, specification writing, and discipline coordination across various trades, as well as conducting shop drawing and submittal reviews, construction site assessments, and code compliance evaluations for MEP systems on diverse projects. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other Dewberry offices, review MEP systems designed by others, and interface with code officials, contractors, architects, and clients, all while thriving in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of progressive design and project management experience, minimum 2+ years performing power system studies.
  • Accomplished Professional Engineer (P.E.) in North Carolina
  • Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with other disciplines as needed.
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Well organized, with good understanding of electrical power system software, applicable codes, national standards, and electrical safety.
  • Attend client and contractor meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
