In this role, you will have the opportunity to function as a technical specialist or project lead, focusing on substation design, including distribution, sub-transmission, and transmission level voltage classes. You will develop electrical design deliverables, participate in management and project scheduling, interface with clients, vendors, and subcontractors, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a recognized accredited program or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements.
• Substation Design Experience - P&C and/or Physical.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License; or in pursuit of obtaining PE License.

Nice To Haves

• QA/QC and Substation (HV) project lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical design deliverables, including protection and control design and/or physical design.
• Actively participate in management, project scheduling, and work/resource planning meetings.
• Interface directly with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• QA/QC projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Prepare a variety of complex engineering deliverables for larger or multiple projects.
• Perform complex research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.
• Manage assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Independently apply advanced engineering techniques and analysis problems and methods.
• Actively coordinate with all other internal/external team members on moderately complex projects.
• Communicate client interests and drivers to project team members and develop approaches to accommodate these concerns.
