We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Professional Engineer specializing in Medium Voltage System Design to join our dynamic team. As a leader in the A/E industry, we are committed to providing innovative and sustainable solutions in electrical power distribution. Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Virginia or able to obtain reciprocity within three months of the start date.
  • Field knowledge of medium and low voltage electrical distribution systems.
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, with familiarity in system modeling software (e.g., ETAP, SKM), and knowledge of sustainable design practices.
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior consulting experience, especially in federal government design projects, is preferred.
  • Experience in building system design is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute medium voltage system design projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, load flow analyses, short circuit analyses, and voltage drop calculations to determine optimal system configurations.
  • Develop comprehensive engineering designs, including the selection and specification of equipment such as transformers, switchgear, cables, and protective devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical designers, technicians, and project managers, to ensure the seamless integration of medium voltage systems into larger projects.
