About The Position

We design, install, and maintain advanced electrical systems. Our expertise spans traditional electrical contracting, security solutions, audio-visual integration, wireless networking, and building management systems. Miller Electric-Prefabrication Designer Reports to the Prefabrication Manager. Responsibilities are focused on supporting Prefabrication Initiatives for the Company. The Prefabrication Specialist must be able to contribute to the overall success of the company by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely, and accurate manner.

Requirements

• Ability to read & interpret Construction Drawings & Documentation
• Understanding Construction Project Flows & Sequences
• Ability to Draw, dimension & communicate ideas
• Ability to research and comprehend materials, tools & equipment
• Basic AutoCAD and/or Revit Preferred
• Bluebeam Preferred
• Demonstrates a willingness to learn and efficiently use software such as Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Google Suites, and file-sharing platforms.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Create Prefabrication Solutions for Construction Projects
• Coordinate with Prefabrication Manager on Inputs required for Prefabrication Execution
• Provide input on Prefabrication Process
• Create Documentation that will inform Prefabrication Team what to build utilizing AutoCAD/Revit/Excel/Bluebeam
• Create, edit and track Prefabrication schedules.
• Aids in the creation of detailed bill of materials
• Performs other duties as assigned by management
• Demonstrates problem-solving ability and can work under rigorous schedules
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
