We are currently seeking an experienced Power System Engineer to join our team. The Electrical Power Systems Engineer will work under the direction of the Utilities Maintenance Superintendent. This is a full-time salaried position. The hours of the position will be 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday with additional hours as needed to support the operation of a 24/7 manufacturing operation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering, or the equivalent training and/or experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior high voltage experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work
  • Working with area E/I personnel to diagnose and repair issues.
  • Identifying predictive maintenance needs for planned power outages
  • Facilitating power system predictive/preventative maintenance programs in SAP.
  • Applying and expanding new technology and industry learning’s toward the work of equipment and process reliability improvement.
  • Capital project support for power needs to numerous capital improvements
  • responsible for the monitoring of the plants power system
  • planning power system maintenance work
  • high voltage lock and tag planning and execution
  • system maintenance planning and execution
  • generator monitoring and work planning
  • interface with ISO-New England and Central Maine Power for the mills Interconnect Agreement compliance.
  • work with the mills area E/I group on certain issues that may arise on the area-based power systems.
